Software and formats of technical documents

Good to know for customers: we process your technical documents in German, Chinese or Spanish not only with Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Microsoft Project and Visio, but with all common programmes such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Framemaker, CorelDraw and others.

Translation of AutoCAD drawings

Drawings are part of many translation projects as part of the technical documentation. Practically every translator in our team can work on AutoCAD drawings in dwg or dxf format. It is not unusual for us to receive drawings for translation as PDF files. Whether direct editing is possible or not, we can turn even a poorly scanned original into a beautiful-looking drawing. 

New technologies

Modern technologies such as Virtual Reality, the Internet of Things, Big Data, Self-Driving Cars, Connected Health or Artificial Intelligence - these are all trends that have and will decisively change not only the economy, but our world and our lives. CAT tools for technical translations

Irreplaceable in technical translations is the use of modern CAT tools: SDL Trados (currently versions Studio 2019 and 2021 Professional), memoQ and Across. With several individual Trados licences for freelancers and a network version in the office, we are ideally suited for large projects. The use of CAT tools is important for processing documents from different editorial systems in xml format.

We also use Across (currently version 7.0) more and more often; we use the programme both locally and on the client's server.

Translations according to international standards

Our translated documentation is carefully checked by proofreaders stylistically, technically and grammatically, according to all valid DIN, ISO, EN, GOST and other standards. 

When translating from German and English some particularly complicated scientific texts, we use specialists such as chemists, doctors or physicists as proofreaders.
